Dear Scholarship Applicant: 

You are invited to apply for scholarships sponsored by The Monday Club, including the Senator Herman M. Holloway Sr. Scholarship, Dr. Woodrow Wilson Scholarship, James H. Sills, Jr. Scholarship, and the Delaware State University Scholarship (recipients must enroll at Delaware State University in fall 2026).

 

For the 2026 award cycle, six scholarships in the amount of $2,500 each will be awarded.  A single completed application will be considered for al six scholarships.  The purpose of these awards is to assist students in pursuing postsecondary education at a four-year college or university.

 

Eligibility is limited to students who currently attend high school within the State of Delaware.

 

THE MONDAY CLUB is the oldest Men's Social Club in the State of Delaware.  Historically, it is believed to be the oldest in the United States.  Its membership includes many of Delaware’s most prominent citizens. Through its community outreach program, THE MONDAY CLUB provides annual scholarships to Delaware students to help support their college and university education. 
 
Although THE MONDAY CLUB is a social club, it accepts the civic responsibility of providing financial assistance and human services to all worthy causes.  Community service is one of the principles on which THE MONDAY CLUB was founded.  We are strongly committed to supporting young people to continue their education as they pursue meaningful careers.
 
To be considered for one of our $2,500 scholarships, you must complete all requirements outlined in the attached application packet.  All scholarship packets must be submitted electronically or to the address listed by March 21, 2026.
